Friday, December 18th, 5:15pm; 22nd Annual Christmas Festival of Lights. The Grotto, 8840 NE Skidmore St., Portland, OR 97220-5028 (503) 254-7371. Roundhouse is among a wide variety of musical performers scheduled for this Christmas season. The Festival is filled with opportunities for family entertainment, featuring over ½ a million lights, the largest Choral festival in the Pacific Northwest, puppet shows, outdoor carolers, a petting zoo and outdoor theatrical performances. $7.50 general admission, $3 children ages 3-12, 2 and under are free.
December 19, 2009: Roundhouse Bluegrass Band's Christmas show. Ken Cartwright says: "This is a legendary band known for it's Dy-no-mite vocals and and you will be in the mood for Christmas when you see them. We have not been able to get them here for their great holiday show ever, so don't wait, make your reservations now and it will be a show you won't forget. It always sells out and what a great gift this show will be for that someone special." Doors open at 6:30pm, show time is 7pm-9:30pm. December 20, 2009: Pittock Mansion Christmas Open House. Tinsel, Trees & Traditions: 150 Years of Christmas. Roundhouse performs 2-4 PM. Experience 150 years of Christmas traditions at Pittock Mansion this holiday season. In honor of the 150th anniversary of Oregon’s statehood, decorated rooms in the Mansion will illustrate different traditions of Christmas, including decorating trees, writing Christmas cards, serving holiday foods, playing Christmas music, and giving gifts.

Roundhouse and additional bands will play for a dinner concert 5-8 PM at Maggiano's Little Italy Restaurant at Bellevue Square Mall, next to the Hyatt Regency Hotel where the Festival will be held. There's no reason to take a break from the music while at Wintergrass, even while eating !!
